A Reformed Baptist is a follower of Jesus Christ who believes that the Bible alone is the ultimate authority for faith and life. We are “Reformed” because we stand in the tradition of the Protestant Reformation, holding firmly to the great biblical truths it emphasized: Scripture alone, Christ alone, grace alone, faith alone, and to the glory of God alone. These truths remind us that salvation is the work of God from beginning to end, and that every aspect of the Christian life must be grounded in His Word and grace.
We are “Baptist” because we practice believer’s baptism, following the teaching of the New Testament that baptism is a public profession of faith for those who personally trust in Christ. We also believe that each local church is a community of believers, governed under the authority of Christ, where members covenant together to worship, grow, and serve.
To guide and summarize our convictions, we hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, a historic statement that faithfully reflects what Scripture teaches about God, salvation, the church, and the Christian life. In short, to be a Reformed Baptist is to be a Christian who seeks to glorify God by being rooted in His Word, centered on Christ, and committed to living out the gospel in both doctrine and practice.
